On further musing... there's a certain crassness -- for want of a better word -- that bothers me about the premise that the semi-random people they're addressing should feel that they deserve a carefree lifestyle. There aren't a lot of people who truly deserve a "carefree lifestyle", whatever that is. Most of the ones who really merit a "carefree lifestyle" got that way by pursuing goals that aren't so "carefree" and probably aren't much interested in chucking such goals in favour of being "carefree".
Of course, that way of thinking derives from the premise that only unusually "good" people merit a "carefree lifestyle". Whatever that is. I'm somewhat biased by having seen too many more-or-less-rotten people enjoying wealth and success.
