Point of view

I don't tend to see the glass as half-full or half-empty.  I see it as containing a liquid which appears to be water and therefore (if true) possibly useful if one were thirsty or wanting to cook or do other chemical work, but also presenting a hazard by aspiration or slippage (if spilled), and dangerously fragile, and too close to someone's elbow.

LOL. I embarrass myself with strangers by absent-mindedly moving their glass away from the edge of the table, without really noticing I'm doing it. It's a mom thing.

The OCD in me, views the "glass-half-empty" quandary as a person who has clearly chosen the wrong size of glass for the job. Perhaps a juice glass would have been better.

Optimist: Glass half full.
Pessimist: Glass half empty
Realist: Glass twice the size it needs to be
Opportunist: Drinks the water while the optimist, the pessimist and the realist are busy arguing about it.

Very accurately put; you know yourself well.
And I?
Well, I wanted milk, and I wanted more of it, and that's a boring glass. I think this clear-self adhesive sticker of a stylized daisy would make it neater.
