No, not that one.  The one for people who suspect that a joke might be in poor taste, and might be taken badly, and might be going too far, but go ahead with it regardless.

Oh well, it's been fun.  And I can bring the thing along to this month's OSFS meeting about "Bizarre sexuality in SF".  Because there are aliens living among us.  And some of them are doctors, and some of them are computer geeks.

You did the Broomball Wizard eyes, but they don't look as lumpy.

What makes you decide which way you are going to do the eyes (the beeds or the fabric I mean)?

I think you should take Tuxetta to all the filk cons, introduce her as your gf, and accuse anyone who looks at you strangely of being xenophobic and specieist. (I can't decide how to spell that)

The "Broomball Wizard" eyes were fabric, appliquéed on, while this one's eyes are shiny vinyl, glued on. The former is sturdier but doesn't look as good. I went for the more durable method for the Wizard, since it was intended for auction and was likely to end up in the hands of a youngster.

The plastic eyes I usually use are more natural-looking, and easier and faster to add to the toy. The natural look was important for the Centauri Emperor, and seemed more appropriate for most of the others. But the fabric/vinyl eyes are closer to the "right" look for Tux, and for the OSBP penguin, I was trying to get as close as possible to the classic Tux look apart from my... enhancements.

Well, "open source" is all about do-it-yourself, right?

But more importantly

Did I spell specieist correctly?

Also, if I ever go to PenguinCon I want to borrow her. I promise to treat her with respect ...

"Speciesist", I think.

I'd be interested in seeing (or at least hearing about) the reactions to a number of my creations at Penguicon.
