Date: 2008-09-07 01:24 pm (UTC)The bottle that I bought was exorbitantly priced for the value of the contents, like spices bought in little bottles instead of in bulk. But considering the number of sequins in a bottle, that bottle should last beyond any plausible number of googly eyes I'm likely to want to make for the rest of my life.
I'm glad I found them; the other options were looking more and more painful to use in terms of labour and effectiveness. I tried rice paper with a hole puncher; it mostly just shattered. Fruit leather probably would have gummed up the hole puncher.
I noticed yesterday that the Your Independent Grocer store sells "two-bite cupcakes" that are decorated with the candy sequins!
