Somnambuleating: consuming food while one is technically asleep.

Unfortunately for some, yes, the calories do "count".

I keep hoping for something that causes me to exercise while I sleep but so far nothing.

So do you actually dream that you are eating? Or do you just wake up and discover the evidence later?

I'm not the one with the somnambuleating problem; it's a friend.

Technically, I think that somnambulating would count as exercise while one sleeps. Since there are a variety of more-or-less-well-tested methods of stopping sleepwalking, there should be ways to induce it.

I had a friend with a somnambuleating problem. However, he was a strict vegetarian, even in his sleep, that meant if you wanted to preserve something in the communal fridge (like, say, a birthday cake that was waiting for the blessed day) all you had to do was write MEAT on it, and he would parse it as inedible and it would be spared.
