This is an awesome quote. Although I imagine it's actually "steadfast *dis*interest". This is exactly how I feel sometimes. I actually do slightly resent being aware of Lindsay Lohan or Charlie Sheen, especially since I need to be more aware of exactly what the heck Dennis Lee is talking about in "Country, Cadence, Silence" (for example).
