If you don't like the weather...

If you don't like the winter weather here in Ottawa... just wait a few years.

I don't mind the mild weather we've been having, these last few winters, but the apparent climate change is disquieting.  When I was young, the odds were about 50-50 that we'd have lasting snow on the ground by Hallowe'en, and ditto that there would be some snow left by my birthday in late April.  But not lately.

i work right by a city snowdump. it is more full this year than in several. But i agree, "White Christmas" in Ottawa used to be inevitable; now it's an item of speculation.

I could stand to see some change in the weather...but there are consequences to getting what I'd like that I quail at seeing befall other people.
