Hannelore's comment in panel 3 looks like it's merely English text shown in a very weird font.  I'm not sure if I've got the brain cells to try to parse it at the moment — the glyphs are twisty and the text sample size is small.  The first character is probably an 'A' or an 'I', of course.  I think that the fourth word has an apostrophe (sandwiched between two identical letters, which should be a strong clue), the second may have a hyphen, and the comment ends with an exclamation mark.

 "Hannelore Fhtagn" indeed.

I can't say for sure about the content, but I do believe I recognize the specific font in play here.

Ah, that's the key -- thanks! The font sample there is just the alphabet. And the text is (rot13'd and with the punctuation omitted): "V JNAG GB SVYY LBHE FPEBGHZ JVGU FCVQREF NAQ OEWBXRA TYNFF". The punctuation appears to be random and there seems to be a typo, but I was correct in guessing the initial "I".

There seems to be even more reason for Dora to be disturbed.

No doubt about it -- that was a wince-worthy message. And the font definitely deserved the name "Miskatonic."

Are users of that font likely to sprout tentacles or pray to the "gods" of R'lyeh? I'd not be "font" of that result. :-)

Speaking of Dora, have you figured out todays yet?

I tried, and I must have had the alphabet shifted (or just to off-and-on headachy to process little letters when I'm also working heh) and got gibberish - both before and after the rot13.

Comments in the forum (which I found after yesterday's comic) suggest that others agree: it's either gibberish or encoded differently.

No time to play right before lunch, but there are words that end in d'd or ss, and I'm trying to think what in the English language might have the former.

Based on the rot-13'd result above, the latter does appear, but not the former.
