Piezoelectric devices can be used to create air flow, more efficiently and much more quietly than fans can.

I wonder if the principle could be applied in reverse: some kind of no-moving-parts structure of miniature flexing vanes converting wind power to electric power?  In practise, I anticipate that there would be problems with precipitation and other forms of fouling.
